The Handyman Service - Decking & Fencing
Client brief
The client here had a rear courtyard with a sloping garden. The severe gradient of the garden made it impossible for my client too make any use of the area. The client therefore wanted a suitable decking area that would meet up with the existing courtyard. But also wanted the area to be private.
What we did:
We decided to build a decked area made of 6 inches x 3 inch timbers which in turn were bolted to 4inch x 4inch timber uprights, each upright was cemented into the ground and extended upwards. These uprights served as post for the new fencing. Additional cross members were fixed on to the uprights and then 4 inch feather boards were fixed into place.
Once again this job was in accord with the brief and now the whole garden area is now accessible and is a usable space.
