Client brief

The client wanted a. garden that would not only enhance appearance rear of the property but also be child friendly.

The old garden had an existing Garage with off road parking from the rear of the property. This first had to be removed by a specialist team as the outer skin of the garage was made from asbestos. Once remove we had to remove the old base which consumes several skips. Once all the existing hard core had to be disposed off, a new vertical board fence was fixed in place to the side & back of the property with rear access through a new gateway.

Because the garden was built on a split level we had to build a retainer wall, so we decided to use new railway sleepers as this added to the beauty of the garden. We then back filled the garden with new top soil and layered the new lawn.

Purpose built decking was also made and because the garden was to be enjoyed by children we incorporated a sand pit with in it.

Finally a new patio was layered in a buff York stone; this made the transformation complete bringing the garden together from the soft grass to the elegant wood through to the rugged but smooth look of the stonework.
